Source : Yahoo AnswersQuestion : Athletes, outside of knee pain! Any ideas on treatment or whats wrong?

Thank you for taking the time to give me advice. I recently purchased a treadmill and went on it for an hour each day for 5 days. I mostly jogged at 5-7 mph and did little walking just 5 minutes at the end/begining and for a few rests in the work-out. I hadnt excercised that much for about 2 months and my knee was really starting to hurt but once I started running it was ok. But whenever I would get off the treadmill it would be very stiff and VERY painful, to the point of not walking. I havent gone on it since and it has been about 3-4 weeks and now whenever I jog at all it hurts enought to not be able to jog. I read online about ITBS if you know what that is but I am not sure thats the case. It feels like twisted/strained tendon on the outside of knee cap. Have you ever had this and how can I heal it soon? I have soccer in just three days and I really need to work-out. I have gained 25 pounds and need to lose it. Advice on healing knee and how to burn calories/build leg muscle with injured knee. Thanks you soo much.

That same pain on the knee (above it) happened to me a few weeks ago. I do a lot of light exercises and all of a sudden I felt that pain just above my knee cap, seems like a muscle or ligaments. I did not go and see the doctor as I should but I took some artharitis tylenol and a few days later it got better. I am back to exercise but start slowly again until you feel confident it is not stretching too much.

This is a Classic Knee injury caused by Jogging. May want to see a Dr also but read this any way.

Jogging is very bad for any one, it is high impact and can damage by jarring action any and all parts of the body (mainly bones and joints, tear up the joints and muscles, and cause even hair line fractures in the bones).

There is very slight more calorie burn ed by jogging then running. So never jog again, but start running and do use the tread mill but must start using it with baby steps, increasing he intensity and the time very slowly. say 15 minutes t a time and 1 week at a time. See what happens. Must fall back if the pain come back. Buy some wrist and ankle weights and use them all day see the benefit of that.
For weight please read this and see what is best for you. Then just do it.
**************************************************************************************
Please read this and do as you please. Best way to loose is to lose slowly by diet and exercises
**************************************…
Buy a book called Mayo Clinic Diet and use it. See if it is at the library or on the Internet.
**************************************…
Body parts specific exercises and total body work out.

Read all this and make your own program. Then stick to it, change it as needed but must have one to follow.

Try, try, try. Do not give up.
**************************************…
You will need few other measurement such as Need to put in the info on wrist size, measure “Fat Index”, ——,——-,—.

Use this link.

http://www.halls.md/body-mass-index/bmi.…

Most of it may not apply but is suggested reading only. For lots of solidified fat around the upper abdomen and tummy:

Include total body work out too, so this fat may not migrate to other locations.

Learn the yoga by joining classes, and then at the end you can do it right at home. Then there is a Q? of affordability. But there are books in the library and there may be lot to learn free of charge on the net.

Gym again is the Q? of time and affordability. Time it takes to go to gym can be utilised to do exercise at home.

Best thing is to use both diet and exercises to reduce this extra weight and the fat.

If you spend on gym and yoga classes then it is an added incentive to not to waste it. Spend it if you can afford it. You need to be inventive, Gallon jug filled with water is 7 lbs, so you can use two jugs as weights in each hand. A one pound can of soup or vegetables fits nicely in most people’s palm too, and make very nice light weights for exercising the arms.

Most program fail because they are made by other people, so after acquiring the knowledge make your own program up and write it down then do it if need be modify it as you see fit but do not give up try, try, again and again. You will feel good about it and feel very healthy.

If still growing, so grow grace fully. Doing some Body parts specific weight free, free hand exercises can do wonders for biceps and triceps.

Same for abs, do abdominal and side bends and front bends and even back bends.

When you get going on biceps and triceps, you will have enough strength to do pull up and chin ups. Bicycling can save time and if possible swim in a safe place or in a pool ii it is convenient.

In the mean time just hang from your hand and just keep trying one day you will be able to pull yourself up. Then try chin ups, and slowly add a one more every few days.

All this is found on the Net and in the library, so read up on it and do it correctly so you that you may not get hurt.

Must drink 1 gallon of water per day.

Eat right, include all food groups per this site above. Do not exceed the total calories per day and eat at least 1500 calories per day every day. One pound of fat is about 3500 calories. You must sleep up to 7 to 9 hours a day time permitting and including naps.

Go for a walk every day for 1 hour, around your residence, start slowly (5 minute), to warm up then increase the speed a little till you can maintain a good clip then slow down to cool off (5 minute before the end of 1 hour). Do the walking in one direction for about 30 minutes then return home, may take little longer.

Or look up total body weight free free hand exercises and do them for 1 hour every day. You find them in the library and on the Internet. They can be done at home does not need gym.

Source : Yahoo AnswersQuestion : Who would pay money if Viz Media started a website like onemanga.com?

Recently, you may have heard the gossip about onemanga.com removing all mangas from their website and mangafox.com removing all licensed mangas from their website. This effects fans of top three most popular mangas, One Piece, Naruto, and Bleach. It seems like everyone is looking for alternative websites were they can read these mangas. The websites are shutting down because manga companies, like Viz Media and 36 other companies, are asserting their rights not to have their mangas pirated. If you want to know more about what is happening to onemanga.com and other websites read this article: http://news.suite101.com/article.cfm/american–japanese-manga-companies-form-anti-piracy-coalition-a246625

But were does that leave the rest of us fans that think we should get manga chapters the same time as Japanese fans get theirs. I hate waiting for them to publish the mangas in Shonen Jump. In One Piece they just published chapter 560 this month. Now online I can read up 594. It would take Viz about one YEAR, at three chapters a month, to catch up to what is available online.

I would like to know if Viz Media, which has the rights to One Piece, Naruto, and Bleach, started a website that you could read these mangas online for a fee, like 10 or 20 dollars a month would you be willing to pay money to read them? If please explain why you would or wouldn’t pay.

Answer by Rashad
It sucks they are shutting the sight down ….bummer. As for the paying to read manga on viz media for a price… well I don’t think that would be worth it even if most of us are hardcore fanatics wanted to read constantly updated manga. There are other sites like onemanga but probably some don’t offer what your looking for, but at least you have constanly updated manga at the palm of your hand for free.
I don’t know if this answers anything (I think I went on a rant lol), but I answered my best.

Answer by ℓємσηƨ彡
I would not pay money because Viz Media sucks with manga.
I’m also not paying $ 120-$ 240 per year to read generic shounen.

Answer by milkis
It’s the internet. There’s bound to be some sites that still have licensed manga.

People can and will do anything if they really want it especially if there’s such a high demand and something so universal and easy to use as the internet.

Answer by Urahara Kisuke
I don’t buy real manga, what makes you think I’ll subscribe online?

Answer by ShellyB
i would if i could but im a teen that goes to school, and doesnt have the luxury of getting an allowance nor a payday or a credit card that i can use.

my parents dont pay a cent for mmorpg’s, games, anything, they dont even shop online!!!! they dont use their credit cards on the computer…. and they dont like me buying volumes in barnes and noble either.
i bought a few One Piece volumes after saving up change… but i mean… i absolutely love One Piece, and i read a lot of manga online. and even if i did have money to spend, i would never have enough to keep up with the series i am currently reading.
and the only manga i TRUELY and FOREVER, and would ever in my mind ever pay for, even if i had billions of dollers, the ONLY manga id pay money for is One Piece… and 20$ a month is kinda much…

i read Bakuman and Psyren, Beelzebub, Oresama Teacher, Skip Beat, Veritas, Naruto, Vampire Knight, and more then 40 others… but i would never buy their volumes… meaning i dont really care for what will happen to the series… meaning, i dont HAVE TO know the ending. i only keep up with Naruto cause everyone else keeps up with them, and the other mangas are just to spend time… so i couldnt care less…

One Piece is the only one that i care about and really… 20$ for that isnt a great deal…

100% SCAM

There is no job – this is a typical money laundering scam that can land you in prison and ruin your credit for the next 7 years

NEVER ever send personal details to anyone you have never met in person. And nobody in their right mind is going to hire a housekeeper that they have never met nor pay you in advance. And only a scammer involving you in illegal activity would EVER ask you to send money to a person through Western Union

DO NOT respond and report this ad to the site where it was posted before someone falls for it

Just look at how many times these scams have been reported

100% scam.

There is no job. There is only a scammer trying to steal your hard-earned money.

The next email will be from another of the scammer’s fake names and free email addresses pretending to be the “secretary/assistant/accountant” and will demand you cash a large fake check sent on a stolen UPS/FedEx billing account number and send most of the “money” via Western Union or moneygram back to the scammer posing as the “supply company” while you “keep” a small portion. When your bank realizes the check is fake and it bounces, you get the real life job of paying back the bank for the bounced check fees and all the bank’s money you sent to an overseas criminal.

Western Union and moneygram do not verify anything on the form the sender fills out, not the name, not the street address, not the country, not even the gender of the receiver, it all means absolutely nothing. The clerk will not bother to check ID and will simply hand off your cash to whomever walks in the door with the MTCN# and question/answer. Neither company will tell the sender who picked up the cash, at what store location or even in what country your money walked out the door. Neither company has any kind of refund policy, money sent is money gone forever.

When you refuse to send him your cash he will send increasingly nasty and rude emails trying to convince you to go through with his scam. The scammer could also create another fake name and email address like “FBI@ gmail.com”, “police_person @hotmail.com” or “investigator @yahoo.com” and send emails telling you the job is legit and you must cash the fake check and send your money to the scammer or you will face legal action. Just ignore, delete and block those email addresses. Although, reading a scammer’s attempt at impersonating a law enforcement official can be extremely funny.

Now that you have responded to a scammer, you are on his ‘potential sucker’ list, he will try again to separate you from your cash. He will send you more emails from his other free email addresses using another of his fake names with all kinds of stories of great jobs, lottery winnings, millions in the bank and desperate, lonely, sexy singles. He will sell your email address to all his scamming buddies who will also send you dozens of fake emails all with the exact same goal, you sending them your cash via Western Union or moneygram.

Whenever suspicious or just plain curious, google everything, website addresses, names used, companies mentioned, phone numbers given, all email addresses, even sentences from the emails as you might be unpleasantly surprised at what you find already posted online. You can also post/ask here and every scam-warner-anti-fraud-busting site you can find before taking a chance and losing money to a scammer.

6 “Rules to follow” to avoid most fake jobs:
1) Job asks you to use your personal bank account and/or open a new one.
2) Job asks you to print/mail/cash a check or money order.
3) Job asks you to use Western Union or moneygram in any capacity.
4) Job asks you to accept packages and re-ship them on to anyone.
5) Job asks you to pay visas, travel fees via Western Union or moneygram.
6) Job asks you to sign up for a credit reporting or identity verification site.

Avoiding all jobs that mention any of the above listed ‘red flags’ and you will miss nearly all fake jobs. Only scammers ask you to do any of the above. No. Exceptions. Ever. For any reason.

If you google “fake check cashing job”, “fraud Western Union scam”, “check mule moneygram scam” or something similar you will find hundreds of posts from victims and near-victims of this type of scam.
