Source : Yahoo AnswersQuestion : Cute poem to read at wedding?

So my sister is getting married in a couple of months, and she would really like me to read a poem. I’ve been sifting through poems, but I just can’t seem to find one good enough.

Do you guys have any cute poems having to do with love that would be good to read at a wedding?

Why do people like the above get on this site and do such stupid things, must surely have nothing better to do——-To answer your question, I am writing several and hope you can find something you like, I enjoy poems and quotations and I hope I can help.

The first is the most commonly known as The Irish Blessing; however, most people use only one verse, I will list all.

May the road rise to meet you.
May the wind be always at your back. May the sun shine warm upon your face, the rains fall soft upon the fields.

May the the light of friendship guide your paths together. May the laughter of children grace the halls of your home. May the joy of living for one another trip a smile frim your lips, a twinkle from your eye.

And when eternity beckons, at the end of a life heaped high with love, may the good Lord embrace your with the arms that have nutured you the whole length of your joy-filled days.

May the gracious God hold you both in the palm of His hands. And, today, may the spirit of Love find a swelling place in your hearts.

Those Who Love

Who has learned to truly love has eyes that are not blind, and lips forever slow to say a word that is unkind. Turn sadness into sweetness with fingers that can blend, a shadow into sunlight and a song into the wind.

Who has learned to truly love keeps summer in their heart, can meet with truth and counterfeit and tell the two apart. Turns every precious hour, worth all its weight in gold, into a lasting arc that makes a rainbow in their soul.

Who has learned to truly love can bend and never break, give everything within them and never wish to take. can see a silver lining in every cloud above, blaze trails through stars to light the years,…the hearts that truly love. Grace Easley

From the movie, Sex and the City, that Sarah J. Parker reads at a wedding:

His hello was the end of her endings
her laugh was their first step down the aisle
his hand would be hers to hold forever
his forever was as simple as her smile
he said she was what was missing
she said instatly she knew
she was a question to be answered
and his answer was, “I do”

R. L. Stevenson’s Wedding Prayer

Lord, behold our family here assembled,
We thank you for this place in which we dwell,
for the love that unites us,
for the peace accorded us this day,

for the hope with which we expect the morrow,
for the health, the work, the food,
and the bright skies that make our lives delightful;
for our friends in all parts of the earth. Amen

The Master Speed – Robert Frost

No speed of wind or water rushing by
But you have speed far greater. You can climb
back up a stream of radiance to the sky,
and back through history up the stream of time.
And you were given this swiftness, not for haste
Nor chiefly that you may go where you will,
But in the rush of everything to waste,
that you may have the power of standing still-
Off any still or moving thing you say.
Two such as you with such a master speed
Cannot be parted nor be swept away
From one another once your are agreed
That life is only life forevermore
Together wing to wing and oar to oar.

Two Different Irish Blessings (similar to the above, but yet different)
The first verse of the above but add the lines below at the bottom

And until we meet again,
May God hold you in the palm of His hand.

May God be with you and bless you;
May you see your children’s children,
May you be poor in misfortune,
Rich in blessings,
May you know nothing but happiness
From this day forward.

“To keep your marriage brimming, with love in the loving cup,
whenever you’re wrong admit it; whenever you’re right, shut up!. Ogden Nash

Hope you can find something here. Good luck!!!JL

You are…
Forehead kisses at 8am.
2 minute voice-mail messages just to say “Hello”.
Sly looks from across the room.
Wisecracks that make me laugh out loud.
Tender touches when no one is looking.
The lingering scent of last night’s shower.
Gentle words meant only for my ears.
Smiles that make me feel all warm and fuzzy.
The chaos that my peaceful world needs.
Salty tears hidden behind closed eyes.
A cozy blanket on the coldest winter days.
Jealous comments made out of fear.
Answers to questions I never asked.
Strength and vulnerability all rolled into one.
My “safe place” when things are bad.
My “safe place” when things are good.

You are all that I need.

You dont need a book. Do just what comes naturally. Your new wife will respect that.

From personal experience (I have been married 16 years):

1. Talk to your wife for as long as she wants when you are not in bed. Make sure you are “listening” to her and not distracted — tv on, reading paper, working on something. She needs your full attention. Women get rid of stress by talking. Take her to dinner, order dessert and cappuchino. Take your time. She’ll be hot for you then.
2. Before attempting sex, be totally clean. Take a shower, clip your finger nails and toenails, get rid of nose hair or ear hair, put on a light smelling cologne and a silk robe. Or, ask her to join you in the shower. Soap each other up.
3. Foreplay, the time you spend before attempting intercourse, is absolutely the most essential in getting your wife ready for you. Do not shortchange her here. Spend at least 20 minutes kissing, kissing the side of her neck, lips, shoulders, all over and hugging.
3. Use a gentle touch on her breasts (lightly passing by a couple of times) . They are not radio dials or something to “squish.”
4. While you continue to kiss, lightly caress and massage all over. Avoid the genitals at first to build tension. Then put your palm onto her vaginal area, and massage. Here is where you would provide oral stimulation to her clitoris and kiss her vaginal lips (tongue flicking back and forth on her clitoris). TAKE YOUR TIME AT THIS POINT, kissing, caressing, it will drive her crazy with passion.
5. As a new husband, you need to learn the female anatomy, bro.
Fumbling around, now that you’ve reached step 4, is embarassing to you. Look at an anatomy book, front to back (first clitoris, then urinary opening, then vaginal opening, then perineum (area between vagina and anus), then anus. Then visualize what you are going to see from top to bottom. Memorize this…
6. One of the most difficult for me was where the vaginal opening really is. If the aim is bad, she’s gonna look at you like you’re a moron. Its going to be just below where the bigger part of the vaginal lips are. If you have any concerns, ask her to help guide your penis in.
7. A woman is able to have orgasms over and over again during intercourse (not like a man’s one time shot); she can go through the excitement, plateau, orgasm, and recovery over and over again. Men need about a 45 minute to 60 minute recovery period.
So, if you can delay your orgasm (stop momentarily when you are ready to orgasm) you will be able to continue to make love to her while she enjoys it over and over again.
8. Afterwards, hold her close. Do not go and watch tv. Get her a glass of water or her favorite beverage.
9. She will continue to be hot for you if you live your love for her throughout the week, not just when you desire sex. Help out around the house. Wash the dishes, fold laundry, clean up the bathroom, make the bed, keep the cars in good shape, put gas in her car, mow the lawn, pick up your underwear, don’t leave towels on the floor in the bathroom, be a good listener and be a good provider.

Hope this helps you ! Good luck on many years of marital happiness and the blessings of children.

If I have provided the information that you need, please rate this response. Thank you.

Source : Yahoo AnswersQuestion : How do the Lines in you Hand Change in Palm Reading?

Answer by grnfairy
i used to practice palmistry, and the way that i read it is that each line in your hands is en event that has occurred in your life. If you study your hand, you will see new lines appear over time. Its kinda neat.

Answer by pharoahyatimu
It can’t change just in a snap. It takes some time. More than over night. Lines in your hand change threw out changes in your life as life changes. Palm reading is all about finding changes and things about your life.

My mane point is that your palm changes as your life changes.
Some how, ’cause it’s soo slow, you can’t see your palm change even though your life changes rapidly. A lot of people say palmistery is false, but its no. If it was false, then why would it be on all of us? Exactly! It’s true! And lines change.

Answer by milly_1963
Your left hand lines never change that is you life plan when you was born
Your right hand changes as circumstances change in your life.
A good palmist will compare your left to your right hand to see if you are on track or close enough and if not will guide you in the direction you have to go.
Example if you smoke and your left hand has a long life line and your right hand has a short life line they will advise you to give up smoking.
