Source : Yahoo AnswersQuestion : i want to get my fortune read with a psychic reader. do you believe they’re real??

i want to know about my career and…lol love life!!

Answer by Cybele K
Psychics … no such thing!

Sorry but you will have to plan your career the usual way …study and set a goal then work very hard to reach it.

Answer by arall blaned
People that call themselves psychic readers are real. What they say is a broad use of cold reading.

Answer by Resolution
its all fake

Answer by rick_from_baltimore
I believe they do exist but I also believe the vast majority are con artists. If they do exist, that makes it awefully difficult to find one who is legit. Even going by a referral might not be a good idea because no one wants to admit they got scammed. Trusting your own gut instincts and what’s in your heart is probably your best bet. Whatever you do, DON’T call a psychic hotline. I know people who have worked for them. They’re nothing more than very perceptive, talented salespeople. Good luck.

Answer by Très Peu Papillon
There is no evidence to support the claims of one actually being psychic. In fact, leading psychics and mediums have been proven false by James Randi (God would be jealous of him if he even exsisted).

The method is called “cold reading” where they ask you questions, then “predict” your future. It includes basic questions that are easy to come up with an answer too.

Also, you may get bashed by fundamentalist Christians due to the fact that “mediums and wizards” are to be stoned to death according to the Bible.

Answer by crazycatlady
Real psychics will not make you pay them. They’ve been given a priceless gift and shouldn’t gain from that. I know an accurate psychic and that is what she says to be true!!

Answer by brandywillanswer
Not really

Answer by misery
Depends on your belief’s and or “religion”,i think, because psychics, and messengers are different in the fact that, messages are from love and warnings of wrong choices.Ware as psychic readings are prediction and forcomings……….Dunno…you asked, and that’s just my opinion or “answer”………..good luck, and be careful….

Answer by redrum4008
I believe that you would be better served if you bought a deck of tarot cards. They will answer things that the fakes can’t. Look it up and study.
Good luck

Source : Yahoo AnswersQuestion : Need a juicy novel for book club? Its an all girl club who loves mature readings!?

We’ve all been looking for a book with a little bit of drugs/sex/love. Maybe a “first time” (virginity) book. But not a summer-on-the-beach-read! We try to read about kids our own age (16-19) but without all the yuppy crap.

Answer by Phil K
You might enjoy some of Ann Rice’s novels, particularly the Mayfair witches series.

Answer by Mandaladreamer
There are librarians at your library who specialize in just this kind of question, and they can also help you gather enough copies so everyone in your group has one to read for free! Good luck, I’m sure they can recommend something just right.

Answer by Babybum4
Pressed this doesn’t include the sex partor anything and you defntely have to be a certain type of person to enjoy these-but

The Twilight Series by Stephanie Meyer

Source : Yahoo AnswersQuestion : Can anyone suggest any wedding ceremony readings about FAMILY?

My fiance and I are getting married in September, and I am looking for any non-religious readings from books, poems, etc. that my sister can read at our ceremony. We don’t need anything that says stuff about “starting out life together” or anything to the effect that our life starts when we get married. We would like something about family because we have been together for 5 years, we have an 18 month old son, live together and have pretty much a married life already, Anything that would incorporate our son (or children in general) as our little guy will be too young at the ceremony and anything that would just reinforce why we are doing this: which is (1) we love each other (2) our little family and (3) formalities =). Thank you kindly!

Answer by Steve
Now you will feel no rain,
For each of you will be shelter to the other.

Now you will feel no cold,
For each of you will be warmth to the other.

Now there is no more loneliness,
For each of you will be companion to the other.

Now you are two bodies,
But there is one life before you.

Go now to your dwelling place,
To enter into the days of your togetherness.

And may your days be good and long upon the earth. Its an Indian Poem

Answer by Darren
Hello!

I got married last year and was faced with a similar predicament (although it is still just the two of us at the moment). Although I do write poetry myself I spent some time looking for poems or some kind of reading. I think it is possible to find something depending on how accurately you want it to convey your feelings and experiences, I found nothing that really ‘hit the spot’ (not to say there isn’t something out there, just the process of discovering it can be lengthy). The other option is to write it yourself which I think more people have in them than they think. I would recommend in your case writing something without too much concern for its ‘poetic-ness’, just try and retain as much honesty and feeling in it as possible. Then perhaps re-draft it until it is more aesthetically pleasing whilst retaining the emotional charge. Below is the poem I wrote for my wedding which we printed on to the back of the ‘schedule’ which we left on people’s chairs. I hope the advice helps a little and, if not, a third option is for someone to write one for you which, lo and behold 🙂 , I do through my business at www.yourpoet.net
As much as I would like you to consider this last option I did write the earlier advice with honesty, give it a go and you might be pleasantly suprised ( I would be happy to help ‘tweaking’ it for you).

Wedding Day

If
Dress un-weaved, un-spun,
Top hat slung, silhouetted in the sunlight

If
Cava parched the flowers &
All the music howled, feet shuffled away

If
Icing decorated her face, make-up clothed the cake,
& the right knee gave way

If
It all were wounded, & bursting balloons
Startled the photographers winked eye

If
Well, this day, it evaporates, second by second,
Into memories, this marriage, it’s framed in sunlight

And
All days will be ours, edges of rivers,
Movies cut through darkness,
Candles light the bath-time,
Moving through train stations
Goodnight, Goodnight, I love you

I
Held your hand in Fleet Street
