palm reading

Source : Yahoo AnswersQuestion : In Chiromancy (Palm Reading), what is the difference between the left and right hands?

Your left and right hands have very different lines. Are they interpreted separately? Wouldn’t they have two conflicting interpretations?

Answer by Mr. Tickles
The amount of palm hair.

Answer by Dad411
They conflict because palm reading is a joke.

Answer by dead fundie
Your left hand tells your tendencies, and your right hand tells what you make of your potential. This is reversed in left-handed people.

Answer by Warrior_soul
The dominant hand is the one the life you are currently leading. The non-dominant hand is what could be, the possibilities in life.

Answer by leru
The left hand (or the non dominant if left-handed) tells more of past events, of what we inherit in terms of health, of what happens to us rather than what actions we take, and of what goes on in our private lives and in those areas which we do not have much control over.

The right hand (or the dominant hand if a leftie) tells of what will happen in our future if no conscious changes are made, of how the world sees us, of whether we have the will to make any changes for the better, and also tells of ambitions we may have.

Hello ‘The Bees Knees’,

Haha… great question!

Actuallly, the answer depends very highly on which BRANCH of palm reading (palmistry) you’re refering to.

For, in classic Indian palmistry for men the RIGHT. hand is considered as most important, and for women the LEFT hand.

However, the reverse is true for classic Chinese palmistry (LEFT hand for males, RIGHT hand for females).

So, this kind of ‘proves’ how the approach is related to the culture and/or philosophical background.

By the way, Western palm readers & hand analysts usually prefer to use BOTH hands for both men and women. Some prefer to use a ‘mirror-like’ approach for left-handed people (based on vague claims regarding how the brain of left handers works) – but the truth is that the brain of left handed people only show some minor changes compared with the brains of right handed people (so, the basics of the mirror-like approach for left handers is actually highly questionable).

I hope this info is usefull for you – the source below present more details on the facts, mysteries and myths regarding the hand differences between left handers & right handers!

Best wishes from The Netherlands,

Martijn.

Do what everyone with common sense does-
Live life how you’re supposed to and see what happens.
Then, when it happens, deal with it the best you can.

If palm reading WERE actually the real deal, then everyone would do it and it would always come true. People do whatever it takes to make money, like prey on people’s ignorance. It’s called palm reading.

Answer by Wonderland
No. sorry. there is nothing but circumstantial evidence that palm reading, psychic reading or any other type of future discernment actually works and plenty of evidence that it doesn’t.

If you think you’ve found someone who’s really good and accurate, I suggest you tell them to apply for the $ 1 million prize being offered by James Randi just for showing that they actually have the powers they claim to. The prize has been offered for years and still no takers. I guess either $ 1 million is more than most of these folks need, or they won’t be able to pass the test. Until someone does though, I advise you to save your money.

When someone offered to read my palm, she said I was going to experience pain in the near future. Then she smacked my nose with my own palm. She predicted right.

No, not 100%. Becouse if you work with the hands you are bound to get lines and with the reading, they are using the lines of the hands. So to a point yes, mabe it dose work but not 100%.

Boy those are questions that people have been asking for years, you just have to go and mess up, pick yourself up and learn from them. Life gose on. And there is always answers there in front of you, you just have to open your eyes and look. They might not be as obvious as on your hand but they are there.

I was born with my innate gifts of clairvoyance (see things), clairaudient (hear things), clairsentient (know things). By the time I was 3 I knew there were things that I knew that I could not tell anyone about because they got really weird if I did. At 13 I got my first deck of tarot cards (Ryder – Waite) and started doing readings professionally.

At 16 I had my first near death experience when I was in a pick-up truck that hit a semi-tractor trailer truck. My dad had died several years earlier – and he had been a semi-truck driver. I was fortunate enough to receive my Father as a Spirit Guide that day, My second NDE was when I was 18 – I was in a Piper Cub 2 seater aircraft that did a hard landing into the side of a mountain. I have spent my entire life studying and working with the wyrd and wonderful in all its guises. While not required by any means I enjoy using the Tarot or any of the other divination tools I have at hand you may want to use for your reading.

I have Doctorate Degrees in Divinity (D.Div) and Theology (Th.D.) from Northern Lights Seminary and continue to study. Among some of my other titles are Psychic Minister, Esoteric Minister, High Priestess, Shaman, Spiritual Coach, Psychic Coach, Psychic Healer, Life Coach, Relationship Coach, Small Business Consultant, Paralegal, Executive Director and College student. I am honored to be a “reader’s reader,” meaning that many of the people do readings for are readers or spiritual workers themselves.
