Question : Is using a Ouija Board a good idea for a Christian?
I had something of great value stolen from me months ago and I haven’t gotten over it. I’ve prayed and prayed about it but He hasn’t answered at all. I’m very upset about this so a Ouija Board can help me out. I just don’t want to be chased by demons and all that, I just want my item of value back. Or to at least know what happened to it.
Answer by nick366000
A police report probably would have been more effective.
Answer by MacGuyverism
I can’t tell if you’re trolling or just stupid.
Answer by keniray
No Christian wants to make friends with the devil. The Lord would withdraw His grace and the devil will then destroy them.
You could pray about your item but as long as you’re thinking like that, your prayers will not be heard.
Answer by Josh
Demons don’t exist so go ahead and use it.
Answer by Jesus Likes This
For fux sake, Ouija boards are sold at Toys “R” Us. They are just toys. They do not possess any spiritual power.
Answer by Pastafarian
Ouija boards are bull.
blind fold someone and let them use a Ouija board, the answer comes out as random gibberish (such as “354wse5e”)
It goes off of the Ideomotor effect.
Answer by The Awesome Man
No it is not. Stay focused on the word of God. Ouija boards open the doors to all kinds of trouble. Steer clear of that stuff. It’s dangerous.
Answer by imacatholic2
atholic Church teaches:
All forms of divination are to be rejected: recourse to Satan or demons, conjuring up the dead or other practices falsely supposed to “unveil” the future.
Consulting horoscopes, astrology, palm reading, interpretation of omens and lots, the phenomena of clairvoyance, and recourse to mediums all conceal a desire for power over time, history, and, in the last analysis, other human beings, as well as a wish to conciliate hidden powers.
They contradict the honor, respect, and loving fear that we owe to God alone.

With love in Christ.
Answer by Avatroll
post it , there is a big chance than referring to the Board
Answer by Sarah
Please, for your own sake do not go anywhere near one of those things. They are extremeley dangerous.
Answer by PastorsRUs
No, they are lousy things for Christians to even think of using. They connect you to satan and the demons. They are dangerous!
Wait for God’s answer. Don’t be like King Saul who got impatient waiting for God and decided to contact a witch, who also connects you to satan and the demons.
Answer by Mohammad
Honestly, No. Your faith in the almighty is weak my friend, and for that, your prayers haven’t yet been answered. God is simply waiting for you to stay loyal to him before he will grace you with is unconditional love. Asking any diety other than God for anything is frowned upon in his eyes, and he will not let this sin go unpunished. Remember, money is only a possession here on earth. Our life here on Earth is nothing more than a test for our destination in the afterlife. Redifine your faith, and show God something to reward- you won’t regret it!
– God Bless!!!

A Ouija board is a game… it even has the Milton Bradley logo on the box… so I would say it is neither evil, or a valid, powerful way to get back something that was stolen….
Answer by Lk
it may have been what caused me to be possessed at the age of five. don’t, unless you want possible possession in your house.
Answer by JAMES K
You do not know how it works and how to protect yourself. Without proper safeguards, you open yourself up to great risk.
Answer by Andrew
I agree with the first response. It is not good to give a drooling idiot a toy with small parts. Maybe your prayers haven’t been answered because there isn’t a god.
Just a general question, when you pray how does god respond? an email or something?
Answer by Camille
You will rue the day you did that either out ignorance or on purpose. The demons come on you and on all your family and then you are cursed. Until you go get deliverance .
“What are Ouija boards? Should a Christian play with Ouija boards?”
Answer: The modern Ouija board was created in the late 1800s as interest in spiritualism grew. A Ouija board is simply a game board that has the alphabet, numerals, and “yes” and “no” printed on its face. Used in conjunction with a pointer, Ouija boards are believed to allow spirits of the dead to communicate with the living. They are often considered to be communication gateways to those who have “passed over.” Of course, this is all based on the supposition that spirits, or ghosts, even exist in the first place and that they can, or want to, communicate with the world of the living.
The Bible has a few things to say about engaging in activities of this nature:
Leviticus 19:31 – “Do not turn to mediums or seek out spiritists, for you will be defiled by them. I am the LORD your God.”
Deuteronomy 18:10-12 – “Let no one be found among you who sacrifices his son or daughter in the fire, who practices divination or sorcery, interprets omens, engages in witchcraft, or casts spells, or who is a medium or spiritist or who consults the dead. Anyone who does these things is detestable to the LORD.”
Isaiah 8:19 – “When men tell you to consult mediums and spiritists, who whisper and mutter, should not a people inquire of their God? Why consult the dead on behalf of the living?”
Galatians 5:19-20 – “The acts of the sinful nature are obvious: sexual immorality, impurity and debauchery; idolatry and witchcraft; hatred, discord, jealousy, fits of rage, selfish ambition, dissensions, factions and envy; drunkenness, orgies, and the like. I warn you, as I did before, that those who live like this will not inherit the kingdom of God.”
Occultists will insist that the boards work by allowing spirits of the dead to move the pointer in answer to queries. Scientists have yet to prove that the pointer is moved by anything other than the living people touching the pointer. In fact, spirits of the dead seem to get extremely confused when participants are blindfolded, at which point the Ouija board suddenly ceases to work correctly.
“Playing” with a Ouija board is engaging in occultism and is definitely not an option for a Christian. Such activity is clearly forbidden in the Bible. No matter how innocent it may seem, playing with Ouija boards can be an opening for demons to invade our hearts and minds. All demonic activity is under the control of Satan, whom Peter describes in no uncertain terms: “Your enemy the devil prowls around like a roaring lion looking for someone to devour” (2 Peter 5:8). The scriptural example for dealing with items that pertain to the occult (books, music, jewelry, occult games, and other occult objects) is to confess involvement with them as sin and burn the items—safely, of course (Acts 19:18-19).

Question : Where in the bible does it say that you cant have oral sex?
I heard one of my friends tell my other friends that God doesn’t want you to have it. Where exactly in the bible does it say that?
Answer by primoa1970
It doesn’t. Oral sex is fine……as long as it’s within the marriage covenant.
Between one man & one woman……….married……….no exceptions
Answer by Wendy S
Answer by Megz
LoL Tell your friend that if God didn’t want you to have sex, that we wouldn’t have reproductive parts.
Answer by Rev. wing wang woo woo TC
any sex is fine.
Answer by Brandon
It makes no mention of it.
Answer by Acid Zebra
I think your friend just doesn’t like to choke on wieners.
Answer by BURN IT!
It doesn’t say that anywhere. In fact, in The Song of Solomon there is a passage that some interpret as poetically referring to oral sex. It says something like “I sat beneath my lover’s tree, and the fruit was beautiful to taste”.
Answer by Wry
It only says it’s dirty, not that you can’t do it. Just a guess.
Let me elucidate. Having done it both of you must wash your entire bodies with water and then you will be unclean until the even.
Again, this is just a guess.
Answer by j-j
When I read the bible I will let you know the answer. In the mean time do what you want.
Answer by Kryten
It doesn’t, and it also doesn’t say you have to be married to have oral sex.
Answer by Melvin
The Bille does not talk about oral sex,but any sex outside of marriage is fornication.
Answer by Emily
It doesn’t. Besides Jesus didn’t write the Bible. Some people came together and wrote it and they aren’t friends with him.
so I’d say go ahead and do as much oral sex as you’d like and have fun.
Answer by Mr. Slav
In the book of Genesis, the wicked people of Sodom and Gomorrah were punished with fire and brimstone due to their sexual deviancy. They practiced sodomy, a word, derived from the city of Sodom, that refers to the acts of anal sex, oral sex, zoophilia, or any type of sexual deviancy, essentially.
Answer by Gorkbark Porkduke Gefunken Fubar
Nowhere. If god did not want you to have oral sex he would not have put the sex organs within reach of the mouth. Actually the Bible talks about sodomy, which includes oral sex, but that was just because the men who wrote the Bible did it with goats.
Answer by Applied K
Like an apple tree among the trees of the forest, so is my beloved among the young men. In his shade I took great delight and sat down, and his fruit was sweet to my taste. (Song of Solomon 2:3)
Answer by Curtis
All sex which is enjoyed by both between a married couple is a gift from God and is fine. Sex out side of marriage between a man and a woman is a sin.
Answer by Rene C
Nowhere, in the old covenant you can read bestiality, incest and more are sin, also in new covenant is quite clear sexual relationships outside the marriage are not allowed as well as same sex relationships.
Question : would someone read the start of my short story?
There was a pale pink floret lain on her bed, chrysanthemum was it? Carnation was it? A blanket was thrown loosely near her pillow. The pillowslip was unclean, shabby. The reedy space between the cushion and the case was black. How many of her secrets, her wishes, weak sighs, were surrendered to that place? I longed to reach into the blackness, repossess what I could of her, but I dared not. I walked quietly towards it, hesitating. Slowly, slowly now. I placed the tips of my fingers upon the velvety surface, closing my eyes faintly. I sighed, pressing my palm into the creases.
My hand was unyielding to my wish, moments passed. The sun spread its filaments upon the wooden floor. More moments passed, desperation quickened my heart. Moments passed, an anxiety quickened my breath. My body was unyielding. The air thickened, I sighed faintly. Rolling my head back towards the ceiling, I felt a strange nirvana. This was not the first time. I breathed her scent in, it had always been there. Yet, the starkness, the apparent strength of it, rendered me completely immobile. The slow oscillation between despair and hope could be felt in the steady motion of the ceiling fan. It whirled lazily, unfazed. The bulb in the center was discolored.
I felt its dull light creep slowly into my already immobilized body. Was this freedom? Somehow it seemed so. What a mockery, people twilling about with restraint, small puppets they were. Held by weak strings. Weak strings that danced and swirled, and tangled upon themselves. These were the same weak strings, the very same weak strings, which had held the jeerers, the jokers, together.
But it very well is for the best. I have known it all along. My desires, stood a plane above the rest. They reached the pedestal of my darling. For you do know, such a pedestal reaches with its golden spiral stairs to the very heavens?
Carnations was it? Chrysanthemums was it? I sniffed the air through my dry left nostril. It drove me to a fury, almost a madness. Had my doll betrayed me? A cold boned chill swept through me. The hanging fan moved in circles, slowly. I growled deeply, movement returning to my arm. It seized the blanket, moving almost by instinct, and yanked it onto its red belly. The back of it was a mustardy yellow, so putrid. So putrid next to the pink of the, carnations was it? Chrysanthemums was it? My hand grasped the floral bunch, so gingerly as not to crush it. I looked at the flowers, almost lovingly. Almost as a mother would her blathering child.
My doll was unwise, but at heart she would never be disloyal to me. I would teach her that flattery of a man is ill received. Taking the adulation of a man could give him the wrong message. She would nod at me slowly, bow shaped lips opening in surprise.
A certain gay laughter seized me, my head lolled to stare directly at the mattress, I’m not certain of how long the laughter had lasted. When it was done, I put the flowers as neatly into my pocket as I could, their gentle petal heads in first. I never did like petals on the ground, they signaled a delicate weakness of the flesh.
I would never see my love that way, she is purity. I crept out of the room, triumphant. I was protecting her, from the blithely whims of material man. As I took a quick glance at the bed lining she had lain on, I remembered her form. The soft curvatures, vaguely materializing in swooping lines that dived in and out of each other.
I pressed my lips cautiously to my hand, mine.

Interesting read.. I’l share my views.
Pros: Good vocabulary, good details of the scene, nice introduction of the stalker
Cons: I felt that though the scene is intense, i lost my way halfway thro. Maybe make it a little less poetic?
But good start. Keep going. Cheers:)

I always acknowledged your expressive qualities.
Even though your writing style is closer to poetry than to novels, your short story is brilliantly written and of professional quality. Bravo!
