Source : Yahoo AnswersQuestion : Looking for a camera that takes HD video and picture?

So I’m looking for a camera under 700 dollars. I know, waaay cheap.

I’m trying to find a camera that can shoot HD video and take HD pictures, preferably at 1080pi. I’m not too familiar with cameras, but I am familiar with film and pictures. I don’t know if you can change framerate on a camera, but anything like 60 fps is great. As for the screen, nothing smaller than 3 inches.

Am I being too specific? Sorry, but I’m mainly just looking for a camera, one that you grip with your palm, that can take HD video and pictures at 1080pi, has decent enough battery life, and can be bought under 700 dollars. I’m trying to get the most out of my 700 dollars.

I’m looking to take hd video and pictures for my trip to Japan. If it can take really good quality pictures and video at ANY time of the day, I’m content.

Thanks for reading! I’ll continue my search as well…
** Also, I don’t know what the difference between a camera and camcorder is (I’m honestly not too familiar with either) but any device that can take hd video and pictures, that’s what I’m looking for 😛

And as for the “any time a day thing” I say that because there’s a lot to film at night in Japan. I’m also looking forward to filming fireworks and such.

Sorry for all the specifics!
@ David- From reviews, I find that it blurs and isn’t as ‘silky’ when recording at night. Sorry, I don’t think it’s the one for me, but it’s still nice

You should buy the sony bloggie, it is way under 700 dollars, and has an additional option of getting a 360 degree lens, you can film in a panoramic view.

✰✪✰ In 2010, I predicted the exact date of the August 23, 2011 – Mineral, Virginia 5.8 magnitude earthquake that rocked the entire East Coast of the United States and up through Canada creating more than $300 million dollars in damage.
I had also seen a fantastic amount of water, coming in shortly thereafter. I therefore notified the appropriate government authorities to warn them.
17 Hours after the quake, Hurricane Irene made landfall less than 300 miles from the epicenter of the Earthquake.
Damage estimates from this hurricane, throughout the United States were near $19.6 billion dollars, which made it the 5th costliness hurricane in United States history
The coastlines were evacuated and lives were saved because of this prediction and appropriate warnings.
